Despite the floods, frost and snow, the Omega Beef Direct farm has thrived. The Galloways are well used to tough conditions, and manage just fine outdoors. In fact, relying on getting feeds onto a holding in floods, or relying on using sheds with frozen water, would have been very challenging - especially on top of a hill.
All the better then, that the Omega Beef Direct farm relies on neither feeds nor sheds. The foggage winter grasses' growth keeps the ground warm, even when there's 4 inches of snow on top.
